Catapult SuperFine

Catapult SuperFine

Catapult SuperFine

CataPult SuperFine contains Mycorrhizae (VAM) and Bacillus

and the mechanisms of action are described in the pdfs and CataPult Animation 2020. The SuperFine formulation uses a high purity VAM and this allows CataPult SuperFine to be applied via fertigation and driplines.

This product is used for two main reasons. Firstly, it improves P nutrition in crops, especially in soils that bind P. The CataPult animation outlines how the RELEASE & CATCH mechanism works to release and capture bound P. CataPult SuperFine also collects N, Zn, Ca and several other nutrients very efficiently and transports them back to the crop plant via the mycorrhizal hyphae.

Secondly, CataPult SuperFine provides a degree of drought tolerance (see CataPult SuperFine for drought tolerance). This is of value in annual crops where seasons can be unpredictable and a dry end to a season can drag down yields. CataPult SuperFine provides a degree of resilience against dry spells. In many countries irrigation for tree and vine crops becomes limited towards the end of the fruiting season and CataPult SuperFine is often used to allow a strong finish to these crops.

For new plantings CataPult and NitroGuard is applied as trees and vines are planted to speed progress to first yields (see CataPult TwinN walnut trial UPDATE).
