MAB’s products are aimed directly at increasing sustainability and profitability of farmers.

Our products provide tools to enable ordinary farmers to increase the sustainability of their farming without decreasing profits.

Sustainability means building the structure and fertility of their soils rather than degrading them by application of excess fertilisers (see PDF).

Sustainability means reducing the impacts of farming on the broader environment. These impacts include the carbon footprint of farming (see PDFs) and MAB has done a lot of work to allow food producers to quantify the reductions in CO2eq they achieve via reduced N fertiliser applications and increasing yield per unit N applied when using our products.

Sustainability means reducing the run-off of fertilisers into rivers, lakes, aquifers and oceans. This can be achieved by using our products to allow high yields while making moderate cuts to nitrogen fertiliser rates via our nitrogen fixing microbes and cuts to P rates using CataPult (VAM-based). Reduced leaching of N can also be achieved by using our products to increase secondary and fine root development which increases capture of N before it leaches away (see Leaching trial).
